About the Artist & Artwork
Barbara Regina Dietzsch (1706–1783) was a celebrated German painter known for her luminous botanical studies painted in watercolor and gouache. Working in 18th-century Nuremberg, she came from a family of artists and was admired for her ability to capture both scientific accuracy and delicate beauty.
