Job Overview
The Diamond Art Gallery is seeking a talented Hand Rendering Artist to transform licensed artwork into beautiful, production-ready diamond painting charts. This role is perfect for someone who is an artist first and renderer second, able to thoughtfully interpret artwork, make creative decisions, and ensure each rendering reflects the original vision while looking stunning in pixel form.
This position is remote within the USA and can be part-time or contract-based, with the potential for ongoing work.

Responsibilities
• Create pixel-perfect, hand-rendered charts from licensed 2D artwork using WinStitch
• Interpret and enhance artwork, making thoughtful adjustments to cropping, composition, and background color
• Select and clean up color palettes, ensuring accurate DMC matches and smooth gradients
• Generate production files, including:
• Sticker sheets with DMC codes and symbols
• Legend charts, packaging labels, and additional materials
• Provide clear, organized drill counts, color lists, and symbol mapping
• Collaborate with artists and the company owner for render approval and revisions
• Ensure all files are production-ready for suppliers

Qualifications
• Proficiency in WinStitch
• Strong artistic background with excellent eye for color and detail
• Knowledge of Photoshop or similar software to create supporting assets
• Experience with cross-stitch, diamond painting, pixel art, or charting programs
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and iterate based on feedback
• Familiarity with DMC color charts and specialty drills such as AB, dust, and crystal is a plus

Nice to Have
• Portfolio of rendering work, pixel art, or production files (preferred but not required)
• Background in digital art, illustration, or graphic design
• Understanding of diamond painting community standards and trends

Art Test
Finalists will complete a small unpaid art test using a cropped section of an image to demonstrate color matching, charting skill, and attention to detail.

Compensation
Per-project or hourly pay depending on experience, with opportunities for ongoing work as part of our growing team.
